Veteran technology founder and investor joins Core Runway to support fundraising, go-to-market strategy and the company’s next stage of growth
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — August 28, 2026 — Core Runway, an AI-powered construction intelligence company focused on helping building owners identify and prevent compliance issues across complex construction projects, today announced that Peter Levy has joined the company as an Advisor and member of its Advisory Board of Directors (ABOD).
Levy brings more than 30 years of experience founding and leading technology companies, including Carjojo and IntelliChoice, and today works with early-stage companies on fundraising, marketing and corporate strategy. He is also an active technology investor and member of US Angels.
Peter will work closely with Core Runway’s leadership team as the company expands its institutional customer base, develops its fundraising strategy and scales its go-to-market operations.
“Peter immediately understood both the scale of the problem we’re addressing and the opportunity to build an entirely new category of construction intelligence,” said John Burton, CEO and Co-Founder of Core Runway. “He brings the combination of operating experience, investor perspective and strategic discipline that is extremely valuable to us at this stage of the company. We’re delighted to have him involved.”
Core Runway uses artificial intelligence to analyze the enormous volumes of documentation generated during institutional construction projects, including owner design standards, architectural specifications, drawings and construction submittals.
The platform highlights potential non-compliance issues for human review and provides direct links back to the supporting source material, allowing project teams to identify problems before they become expensive change orders, rework or project delays.
In one recent test, Core Runway compared a 1,000-page institutional design manual with a 2,800-page architectural specification and identified 19 potential compliance issues in approximately 15 minutes.
“Construction projects generate an extraordinary amount of information, yet many of the most important checks are still performed manually,” said Levy. “Core Runway is addressing a very large and clearly defined problem with technology that can materially improve quality control, reduce risk and save customers significant time and money. I’m looking forward to helping John, Chandika and the team build the company.”
Core Runway is initially targeting organizations with large and complex property portfolios, including universities, healthcare systems and airports, where internal building standards can extend to thousands of pages and must be enforced consistently across multiple projects, architects, contractors and subcontractors.
The appointment comes as Core Runway expands its compliance intelligence platform and increases commercial activity across the United States and internationally.
