Core Runway Announces Partnership with NAPA to Integrate More Than 7,000 Asphalt EPDs into ConstructIQ

Partnership expands access to material sustainability data and supports better product selection and reporting across the construction industry

San Francisco, CA and Pittsburgh, PA — Core Runway today announced a strategic partnership with the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) to integrate more than 7,000 asphalt Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) from across North America directly into the ConstructIQ platform through a dedicated API connection.

The partnership is the first of several planned initiatives to expand the availability of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and Health Product Declarations (HPDs) within ConstructIQ, Core Runway's platform for material sourcing, sustainability reporting, and compliance.

Through the integration, architects, contractors, consultants, and building owners will gain direct access to one of North America's largest collections of asphalt EPDs, making it easier to evaluate products, compare environmental impacts, and prepare sustainability documentation.

"This partnership with NAPA is an important step in building a more connected and accessible source of material information for the construction industry," said John Burton, CEO of Core Runway. "Reliable product data helps project teams make better decisions, reduce reporting burdens, and support sustainability goals throughout the building process."

"Providing transparent and accessible environmental data is critical to the future of sustainable infrastructure," said Amlan Mukherjee, PhD, PE, Senior Director of Sustainability & Intelligent Construction at NAPA. "By making thousands of asphalt EPDs available through ConstructIQ, we are helping project teams make more informed decisions and supporting the sustainability goals outlined in NAPA's Road Forward initiative."

The expanded dataset will support a range of activities within ConstructIQ, including:

  • Sustainable material sourcing

  • LEED and green building compliance

  • Embodied carbon analysis

  • Product research during design

  • Product comparison and substitution reviews

  • Sustainability documentation and reporting

Core Runway plans to expand the platform through additional partnerships with manufacturers, industry associations, and sustainability organizations, creating broader access to material transparency data across the built environment.
